Softcover. glossy white illustrated wraps w/ blue printing. 430 pgs. "Seven years of research in public and private archives, some of them unpublished. A new image of a woman who has been criticized so much and passed off as an extra at best, a traitor at worst. A fresh look at certain historical subjects: Talleyrand and his double game from 1801, the 'Neipperg affair' and its orchestration by Metternich, the commitment of young people around the newspaper Le Globe. Régis de Crépy, after studying law, the IEP, made a career in a large international bank. He was elected territorial in Burgundy, his region of origin, carried out various societal commitments, was a member of the Economic, Social and Environmental Council. No longer available for about ten years, it was important to him to reveal to us the personality of an unfairly misunderstood woman, also painting the picture of a dizzying era."--Amazon, Translated. VG+ (creasing to upper & lower spines. tightly bound; likely unread).…
