Añadir al carritopaperback. Condición: Acceptable. Smith-Brooks Printing Company, 1914. Paper covers, [2] pages plus 21 single pages with tipped in plates; 25 x 31 cm; First edition. Bound with original red cord. Lacking both original pictorial wrappers; title page present but exposed as outer leaf. With 22 mounted color plates (including 1 folding panorama) (missing two plates from front and rear covers). Printed in quadri-color from recent photographs and tipped onto black leaves. In acceptable condition with chips and tears to the title page and moderate overall aging and spotting to title pages as well. Plates are in very good condition. A solid copy, but for the missing covers. Compiled by Wm. H. Crane and published exclusively for The Inter-State Company of Denver for sale aboard the Denver & Rio Grande-Western Pacific railroads, this volume was designed to showcase the Rocky Mountains as seen along the "Scenic Line of the World." With vivid quadri-color engraved views from photographs taken in the early 20th century, the volume includes scenes of Denver, Castle Rock, Pike's Peak, the Royal Gorge, and other landmarks. A key example of railroad promotional ephemera, issued with string binding and typically in decorative wrappers now absent from this copy.

Oblong large 4to, printed wrappers, front cover with color pictorial image pasted down, as issued, red cord ties, 16 leaves, each with a mounted color plate illustration, with identifying captions printed on versos. Not a specimen of view book, nor of Western illustration, held much in high regard: it's more impressive for its size than for its graphics. N.B. - for any potential buyers out there, it should be understood that the item is too large to fit into a standard sized Priority Mail envelope, and it will therefore need to be mailed by some other method.
