It is spiral bound, with solid cardboard covers and high-quality ivory-colored paper used in the text. There is a bit of shelfwear, with denting to the bottom front corner of every page. No text is affected by this. There is a round brown stain on the back cover. The book is amply illustrated with photos (the head of the violinist has been cropped out of several, a rather spooky effect) and line drawings. 87 pages of violinistic wisdom.
