Añadir al carritoBlue card covers paperback. (72) Pp. Maps, diagram and b&w. illus. HMCS Naden refers to both a former RCN schooner used as a training establishment in Esquimalt, BC, and to the naval training facility itself, which was named after the schooner and operated from 1922 until it was absorbed into CFB Esquimalt in 1966. The name Nade…n comes from the Haida term "ne dan xada i," meaning "Naden River People," after the Naden River on Graham Island. Very good with previous owner's name on the title page.

Paperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This book provides in-depth focus on the life and activism of John D. Crimmins, a prominent figure in the American Irish Historical Society. A rising star in Irish-American circles, Crimmins notably served as the society's president from 1901 to 1902. The author delves into the Irish-A…merican experience through the lens of Crimmins' business achievements and commitment to charitable causes. Crimmins' business ventures, including his work in street railway capitalizations and real estate, solidified his position as a prominent figure in the development of New York City. His support extended to philanthropic endeavors such as the preservation of St. Patrick's Cathedral and the establishment of the American Irish Historical Society. Throughout the book, the author also explores the societal landscape of the time, offering insights into the Irish-American community and the larger historical context. This book is a valuable resource for those interested in Irish-American history and the life of a remarkable figure who made significant contributions to the community. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.
