This manual has been recommended even for Civil War re-enactors by The Drill Network. This work has many illustrations, but also 20+ pages of instructions for drummers and buglers. The manual instructs the Infantry, the Riflemen, the Artillery, the Cavalry, and the duties and behaviors while being in camps.
