Sharp-cornered, structurally tight, and completely clean and bright all round with no internal markings, modern inscriptions, or handling wear. NOTE: Rather than just listing pictures, the book maps out the complex, volatile relationships between publishers, editors, authors, artists (including the Pre-Raphaelites), and the master wood-engravers who cut the blocks.
