Soft cover. Condición: New. 1st Edition. Sports Illustrated, 1999. Sports Illustrated: 1999 the Year in Pictures. Quarto, photo-pictorial wraps, unpaginated. New; pristine. In original gift envelope (this was a gift-type premium issue, at Christmas, 1999; hence, published in 1999, though it covers the entire year of 1999 in sports), though that envelope has itself been opened. Affixed to the envelope is a "Gift One Year Press Box Seat" - looking like a ticket or pass, but in fact just a notification from SI that the recipient of this publication would also receive a year of SI as another gift from the giver. Rober Beck's iconic Brandi Chastain World Cup photo - taken 7-10-99 immediately after her successful penalty kick gave the USA its WC Final win over China - is the cover. Pages are not numbered and, given the new condition of this issue, I haven't counted the pages or the scads of SI-quality color photos inside. But they are there. An oddly scarce SI piece. Lg3.…
