Right during the yellow peril, he becomes famous as a fortune teller--specifically about rain forecasting. He additionally was the plaintiff in one of California's seminal water rights lawsuits.

Probably no one famous as the inscriptions all have shop steward, secretary, foreman etc. after them, but there is a lot of them so who knows. Otherwise book is a Tight sound copy in Very Good condition. Dustjacket is in Good to Very Good condition with some edgewear and a eight inch repaired closed tear to the left corner area of the front cover. The dustjacket has been placed in a Brodart protective cover by us to protect it and it looks much better than described. . This does not affect the dustjacket in any way, as all taping is done on the outside of the protector. No Signature.

Olivi signed this book for me in Reading, PA during a WW II reenactment and air show. The front cover edges are sun-faded. A 3-page article about "Bockscar" is included with the book.
