This is the story of the Andaman trip referred to in both earlier books, where Colonel Williams (1897-1958), meets the fearless Spotted Deer in a jungle on the North Andaman, and the remarkable decision of the author to choose Tun Gyaw as his personal guide, even though he was serving a life sentence for having tried to murder him. Williams was a British expert on Burma, and was made a Lieutenant Colonel, mentioned in dispatches three times, and was awarded the OBE in 1945. Quite a scarce book.
