Nice copy allthough with some slight traces of use. Text in French. Separate off-print of an original study published in the ''Bulletin de l'Académie royale d'Archéologie de Belgique ''. Rare bibliographical and historical study on ''céraunies - pierre de foudre '' or in English ''Ceraunite ( from the Greek keraunos = thunderbolt ). Ceraunite is a mineral similar to jade of which it was believed that it was produced by lithtning during a thunderstorm. In this remarkable study the author traces the history , with extensive bibliographical references, of this mineral in Western manuscripts and early printed books from the classical age onwards.
