In the background is a troop train, telephone wires and an aeroplane. The airplane is a biplane as were the fighter planes of the era. The was a tremendous demand for railroad freight and its was bottlenecked on the east coast. This composition highlights the then modern day happenings at the time. The art work was by noted artist Clinton Pettee. He has an active listing of recent posters and magazine illustrations prices. See Picture.
