An excellent copy.Matson lived and breathed the Port of Los Angeles. He was Secretary and Traffic Manager for the Chamber of Commerce (a port function). Willard had earlier published a history of the Port but Matson's is far more complete. He prophesied the future greatness of the port and indeed, the Port of Los Angeles (POLA) is one of the world's busiest ports and has been the busiest port in North America for more than two decades with record volumes for containerized trade. The Port of Los Angeles is the 17th busiest container port in the world.
