Paperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This book delves into the meaning of a prophecy found in the 85th Section of the Doctrine and Covenants, a foundational text for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The author analyzes the prophecy, which speaks of a "mighty and strong" individual who will come to set in order the affairs of the Church and arrange inheritances for the Saints. The text also predicts that a President of the Church, who attempts to "steady the ark of God", will meet a sudden and tragic end, falling "by the shaft of death". The book explores this prophecy within the context of the Church's history, specifically its early years in Missouri. The author argues that the prophecy refers to the role of the Bishop, and that the "mighty and strong" individual is not a President, as the Church authorities have claimed. The book then examines the themes of Zion's redemption, the importance of the Celestial Laws, and the role of the Prophet Joseph Smith in the unfolding of these events. The book offers a compelling perspective on the meaning of this significant prophecy and its implications for the Church, prompting readers to consider the deeper meaning of the text and its relevance to the present day.
