Condición: Very Good. POPULAR PRINT IN ISLAMIC NORTH AFRICA. Colour-printed Hajj certificate measuring 355 by 252mm. A revised edition of a popular print of a Hajj Badal certificate intended for pilgrimage performed on behalf of another person. The original certificate was published in Mecca by Abdullah Fida & Sons library. The offered copy was likely to have been re-printed in the Maghreb as a part of the expanding market of religious iconography from the 1940s onwards. Alongside a view of the Kaaba, the certificate also shows several important structures which were subsequently removed. These include the Arch of the Banu Shaybah Gate, Minbar, Hijr and the buildling over the Zemzem Well. The certificate also has a further six smaller captioned illustrations along the lower edge. These include the Al Aqsa Mosque, Mina, Muzdalifah, Arafat, and the Prophet's Mosque at Medina. Uncommon.…
