The work is printed with the Latin original on the facing page, and includes the Appendix of Gudius and a parsing index for learners. Phaedrus (c.15 BC-c. 50 AD) was a little known Roman fabulist, nothing is recorded of his life except for what can be inferred from his poems. A pleasing edition of Phaedrus, making this classic collection of fables accessible through Smart"s fluent English verse.
