Back of envelope has staining from the envelope adhesive and the star illustration on the front. Five small lines from cancellation on back of envelope. Stamp has a cancellation from Washington, D.C. On the left side of the envelope is a bright star illustration with a small drawing attached which could be Mrs. Alleta Sullivan, who was the first recipient of these stamps.There is an address on the front of the envelope stamped in blue ink and the flap of the envelope has been folded inside.
