Paperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This book details the author's daring expedition to the area now known as Minnesota in 1856, and the extensive research they conducted on the region and its native tribes. Their job was to find suitable locations for military posts, report on the environment for future travelers, and improve relations with the native tribes. As such, this book provides a fascinating snapshot of the landscape and people of Minnesota in the mid-19th century, rich with historical detail and insightful observations of the natural world. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…
