Beautiful story book for children published in 1939, and dedicated by the author to Prunella, Timothy and Ann. Jacket is marked and sunned, particularly the spine, and edges are creased and nicked, including a few small tears. Boards are blemished, and board corners and spine ends are bumped and rubbed. Page block is tanned, and previous owner's name penned to both pastedowns. Gutter breaks evident in a few places, however pages remain securely bound, and pages are clear and bright throughout. Coloured illustrations are vivid. LW. Used.
