Frontespizio in rosso e nero e bell'impresa dello stampatore sul titolo delle due parti (Ercole e il drago entro ovale). Prime 2 parti (la terza apparve nel 1617 e la quarta nel 1616; cfr. Riccardi 306-7.16 e 17) di quest'opera che secondo Riccardi "è il trattato più completo di aritmetica fino allora pubblicato". Sempre Riccardi avverte che sul primo titolo il nome "Perito Annotio" è anagramma di Pietro Antonio, nome di battesimo del Cataldi ed inoltre che "le opere del Cataldi sono rare e da qualche tempo ricercatissime dai bibliografi", l'edizione è infatti piuttosto rara.
