William Carleton Irvine (1871-1946), was a missionary, writer and the founding editor of the Indian Christian magazine. This is his account of working for 25 years among the lepers of India. This book was widely read and Irvine and his long suffering wife were held up as model missionaries. Quite a scarce book.

Forrest founded the Klan to counter act the abuses of the new South with its Carpet baggers and their cohorts, the Scalawags, and to curb lawlessness however, the Klan got out of hand, and became too violent for even this fierce Civil War Vet, who was its First Imperial Wizard, he resigned in protest. !!! As detailed by Ken Burns in his 9 hour program The Civil War, a rare association copy by a southern devotee.
