Die Empfindsam- und Rührseligkeit gab sich hier hausbacken, platt, mit einem Stich ins Kotzebuesche. "Klementine Wallner" (1811), die drei Bände "Erzählungen" (1814; 2 Bände 1830), namentlich aber "Julie von Lindau, oder: Wille, Natur und Verhängniß" (1819) [recte 1810] beweisen die Geringfügigkeit seiner einschlägigen Gaben.
