FIRST EDITION TO INCLUDE DOPPELMAYR'S WORK ON FIELD MEASUREMENTS AND A VERY SCARCE MATHEMATICAL WORK, OCLC LISTS ONLY 9 INSTITUTIONAL COPIES, and there is no record of a copy sold at auction going back as far as the 1970s. This is the first edition to include valuable additional material by Johann Gabriel Doppelmayr, who was at this time professor of mathematics at the Aegidien-Gymnasium.
