Shipped with care in a bubble mailer. Feel free to inquire for photos or more details. I hand inspect every item. --- Authored by J. Pendleton Campbell and published by Warwick House Publishing in 2001, Eon Isle Chronicles presents a work of imaginative fiction set within an invented island realm. The narrative draws on traditions of fantasy storytelling, weaving characters and events across the chronicled history of its setting. Released by a regional Virginia press, the volume reflects the kind of independent literary project that smaller publishers brought to print during the early 2000s. Signed by Author.

Añadir al carritoPaperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This book, first published in 1891, studies the progress of teaching biological sciences in US colleges. It is a detailed look at the teaching methods and curriculum from colleges throughout the country. The author, John P. Campbell, found that many colleges were moving away from the traditional methods of teaching science through lectures and textbooks and towards a more practical approach that involved fieldwork and observation. He also noted that there was a growing emphasis on biology as a means to train the observational powers of students rather than as a means to inform them about a particular subject. This book provides a valuable insight into the history of science education in the United States and the development of modern teaching methods in biology. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.

Añadir al carritoCondición: Sehr gut. Zustand: Sehr gut | Seiten: 56 | Sprache: Englisch | Produktart: Bücher | Migrant remittances are a focus of attention worldwide, with debates raging on their impact on poverty alleviation. Less well known is that over a third of remittances to underdeveloped countries originate in other developing countries. Remittances as goods and commodities, and remittances from urban to rural areas are important. This is the case in the southern African region where cross-border migration is commonplace. Remittances to Africa easily exceed development aid, yet the comparative research and publication interest is paltry. The southern African context suffers particularly from a paucity of data. This survey provides information on the profile of the migrant population, remittance flows and usage at household level in five SADC countries, Botswana, Lesotho, Mozambique, Swaziland and Zimbabwe. It considers remittances both within the region and from Africans in the diaspora. Further factors under consideration are gender, age, education level and tradition.
