Hier erstmals in lateinischer Übersetzung (Einleitung in Deutsch). Paperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This book explores the complex diplomatic negotiations between European powers after the Treaty of Seville in 1729. Bringing together a substantial collection of primary sources from the period, the book sheds new light on the machinations behind the treaty, which saw Spain, France, England, and the Netherlands guarantee each other's possessions and agree to introduce Spanish troops into Italian territories. The author argues that the treaty was part of a broader plan by the Bourbon powers, France and Spain, to challenge the dominance of the Habsburg dynasty and establish their own hegemony in Europe. The book provides a nuanced analysis of the competing interests and strategies of the various parties involved, highlighting the tensions between European powers and the delicate balance of power that existed during this period. By examining the secret articles of the treaty and the diplomatic correspondence between key figures, the author offers a fresh perspective on the origins and consequences of the Treaty of Seville, contributing to our understanding of 18th-century European diplomacy and its impact on the geopolitical landscape of the time. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…
