As with all presidential inscriptions/signatures one must consider the possibility of secretarials and autopens and combinations thereof - the circumstance of the inscription's presence upon the pastedown seems alright as President Bush was left-handed and thus writing on the left endpaper would be a bit more natural than writing upon the right endpaper (i.e. the opposing front free endpaper) but, however, the writing of inscription reflects some tentativeness not found in the rather firm signature and the "B" in "Best" is structured differently than the "B" in "Bush." Although not at all versed in the nuances of Bush's handwriting, this bookseller favors a secretarial for the inscription with firmer confidence for the actual signature being Bush's and thus sold with that caveat.
