VERY GOOD … This is a previously owned book that remains clean and presentable, with the following particulars noted : EXTERIOR -- Compression and modest abrasion to the spine extremities; surface of spine has a touch of abrasion, and a touch of weathering; gilt lettering is bright; front joint is slightly rubbed; the boards display a touch of weathering about the edges (just discernible); corner tips are softly bumped, but not split. Text-block edges are toned. The whole displays nicely. BINDING -- Solid - tight. INTERIOR -- End-papers have mild surface rub, and a touch of nicking, else are quite clean and crisp with no marking. Paper throughout is toned, as is the frontispiece tissue guard; there is a fore-edge tear to the leaf which has pp 151/152 (which is why the book did not get a higher condition rating); there is scattered mild surface creasing (quite shallow); on the half-title is a penciled date, else the interior is clean and presentable, with no other writing or marking.
