In its original illustrated, laminated dust wrapper, shelf worn and bumped on extreme edges, a couple of minor scratches on rear panel. Marianne North (1830-1890) was a biologist and botanical artist, remarkable for her prolific output of plant and landscape paintings (many of which were painted during her extensive foreign travels), her writings and her plant discoveries.
