Contains short description, specifications, and price for a large variety of gears, chains, spurs, etc. With black & white illustrations throughout.… The original brown wrappers of the catalog have had a brown kraft paper wrapper glued along the spine. Both wrappers, original and kraft, have the reference number "621.83" marked in the upper left hand corner. The kraft paper additionally has "Boston Gear Works" written in pen. The original wrapper also has a stamp in the right corner and a small pencil mark. Binding is strong with no loose or missing pages. Corners of the volume are slightly crimped. pages are clean and unmarked. This catalog comes from a collection of several thousand trade manuals.

Profusely illustrated in black an…d white with tables, diagrams and other illustrations throughout. Includes entries for "Boston Spur Gears," "Iron and Steel Bevels," "Hardened Spiral Mitre Gears," "Boston Ladder Chain and Steel Sprockets," "Boston Ratiomotors and Reductors," "Boston Three-Jaw Couplings," "Cast Iron Pillow Blocks," "Single Row Radial Ball Bearings," and "Crown Face Pulleys," among many others. Each entry includes a description, at least one illustration, and a table of specifications with a price. Rubbing and slight discoloration to the covers and spine. "B6574" in black ink at the top right corner of the front cover. "Catalogue Library" and "MAY 6 1940" stamps at the top edge of the title page. The glue has dried, and is visible, at both the first and final pages. Binding slightly skewed, with the front cover reaching past the rear cover (see photo). Otherwise, pages are clean and free of writing. The binding is tight and strong, with no pages looser than others.
