With Chapter 8 "Mathematical Interpretations of Geometrical and Physical Phenomena" authored by Gilbert Ames Bliss. Mathematician Mayme I. Logsdon earned her Ph.D. at the University of Chicago in 1921 and taught there until her retirement in 1946 where after she taught at the University of Miami in Florida until 1961.
