Condition: Lacking covers, as noted above; lacking the blank endpapers; textually complete including the two first title pages (see pagination above); the first 8 pages and the last signatures consisting of pages 33-65 of the final sermon are disbound (i.e. present but laid on loosely); the first title page is worn and chipped at the edges with a torn bottom corner that affects one word; the second title page (the title page of the First Sermon) is also worn and chipped along its edges, but not affecting text; the inner pages are lightly age toned with heavier toning at the edges; about half of the pages have noticeable shorelining / water staining to their front upper area, covering about 1/3 to 1/2 of the page, but the text is always clear and fully legible beneath; there is some edge wear, corner creases, corner tip loss, and a spot or two, here and there throughout. The first three, and the sixth sermon each with their own title page and paginated separately. The fourth and fifth sermon are paginated together, with the fifth presented as a chapter title and without an actual title page. The seventh and eighth sermons are also paginated together, though in this case, each sermon has it's own title page. Bound at the rear of this volume is an additional sermon published the same, though in 1704. The full title reads "A Sermon Preach'd before the Right Honourable the Lord-Mayor, Aldermen and Citizens of London, at the Cathedral-Church of St. Paul, January the 19th, 170 3/4 being the Fast-Day, Appointed by Her Majesty's Proclamation upon Occasion of the Late Dreadful STORM adn TEMPEST; And to Implore the Blessing of GOD, upon Her Majesty, and her Allies, in the Present WAR." This last sermon is 32 pages. The volume has been rebound, retaining original covers laid over the top and bottom boards. Leather spine and edges. Raised spine bands with six compartments. Gilt stamped lettering, including library call numbers in the bottom compartment. Modern end leaves, with library tag on front paste down. Small inked library stamp in blank space of primary title page, as well as on blank verso of same. Library stamp is seen on a couple of other title pages in blank space. No other library markings are noted. Some penciled underlining is seen in the 1704 sermon at rear. Scattered very light foxing. Edges are a little darkened. Volume remains tight and contents are generally very clean.
