Writing assignments sequenced to elicit informal responses, information gathering, more formal essays, and essay revisions will assist students to develop a productive writing process that will serve them as they move on into their own disciplinary work. Working with this book will hellp students to develop the skills to pose questions for themmselves, to beginn to generate answers, to see connections and contradictions, and to communicate their knowledge to others.
