Light toning to endpapers; front free endpaper's top right corner retains impression of partially erased two-line pencil ownership inscription "Kay Herdman | Le Moyne College" which actually provides a strong provenance for Berrigan's signature. Interior pages are otherwise clean. Binding is firm. A very good+ copy in a very good- dust jacket with ink signature "Daniel Berrigan, S.J." boldly written at top of front free endpaper. Berrigan received an appointment as professor of New Testament studies at Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York in 1957 and, in the same year, was awarded the Lamont Prize for TIME WITHOUT NUMBER, his first published book of poems.
