Bound in raspberry-colored balloon cloth (spine 4a) the book is in Near Very Good condition with light wear wear and a TINYsliver of fading at the top of the spine. Solid binding, bright gilt, faded topstain. At the bottom of the spine the words "Modern Library" are stamped in gilt with two gilt bands underneath in the style of spine #4. Light TINY soiling on front cover. Contents are clean with LITE yellowing to pages and no owner's signature or other writing in text. The dust jacket is also Near VG with a browned spine that has light chipping at the top. Tiny chips at corners and a 1/2-inch tear at the upper left of the front paneland a small tear at top of front endflap.
