Stapled Wraps. 1st printing. pp. 13. 8vo. An original copy, printed in English. Former owner's name and his rubber stamp to first page. Originally printed on newsprint which is now somewhat age-toned, but perfectly readable. A few creases, else in very good condition. Delivered in the House of Commons on March 9, 1933 and published as an official report of the House of Commons debates. A fascinating discussion by the then Prime Minister of Canada on the history and development of Canada's three transcontinental rail systems, and the need to amalgamate them.

Stamps, names penned, and two pieces of related ephemera pasted in to the front paste down and free endpaper. Lightly starting at front hinge. Else remains clean, bright. Pages are crisp and the binding still solid. No date, c. 1933. Canadian Problems. A collection of papers read at the First Annual Liberal-Conservative Summer School held at Newmarket, Ontario.

Heavy, and extra postage may be requested to destinations outside Australia. 522 pp. The memoir of Sir Roger Therry about his 30 years residence in New South Wales and Victoria. Originally published in London in 1863, the first edition sold out at once. A second or revised edition quickly followed, but was recalled from sale by Therry because of strong criticisms in Australia about the opinions he had expressed, such as about the transportation system, the administration of justice, and the personalities of judges. The present facsimile of the second edition makes Therry's writings more accessible, and also commemorates the 150th anniversary in 1974 of the Supreme Court of New South Wales, of which Therry was a senior judge. Introduction by J. M. Bennett, a councillor of the Royal Australian Historical Society (RAHS).
