Druck auf Anfrage Neuware - Printed after ordering - This volume provides a comprehensive overview of why, how and when to perform measurement in cardiothoracic imaging. During the past two decades, medical imaging has moved over simple 2D visual analysis and has entered into the area of 3D and 4D quantification and function. Standardization of acquisition and reconstruction parameters is a paramount prerequisite to provide accurate measurements and quantification, this for all imaging modalities. Each chapter includes a detailed and critical review of how to obtain quantitative data according to the conditions and circumstances. Special emphasis is placed on routine and research applications and the clinical impact of all medical imaging modalities in each setting. In providing expert, up-to-date guidance on why, how and when to perform measurement or quantification, this volume will be an invaluable resource for all young or confirmed radiologists, nuclear medicine physicians, cardiologists, radiographers and clinicians who are involved in cardiothoracic disorders.

Añadir al carritoHardcover. Condición: Very good. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Clear plastic dust wrapper. Presumed First Edition, First printing. [10], 291, [5] pages. Oversized book, measuring 11 inches by 7-3/4 inches. There is a large chip at rear of clear plastic dust jacket. Inscribed and signed on the front free endpaper by the author (Paul Beigelman) to George Houle'. Inscription reads "To George Houle' with best wishes--Paul Beigelman." Includes Principal Corrigenda [laid in], Color Frontis, Preface, Catalogue of 400 books from the author's private library, Black and White illustrations, Index of titles, Index of illustrators, and Index of Printers. In the preparation of this catalogue, advice was obtained from experts in specialized areas, librarians, and some knowledgeable booksellers. Dr. Beigelman earned his medical degree at USC in 1948 and completed his internship at the Los Angeles County + USC Medical Center. Though Dr. Beigelman has worked with many universities, he maintained close ties with USC. He was a retired professor of medicine and pharmacology, and was a self-proclaimed bibliophile. In addition to establishing the endowed scholarship fund at Keck, Dr. Beigelman has donated nearly two dozen rare books from the 14th, 15th and 16th centuries to USC's library. George Houle began selling books in high school as a way to fund his college tuition. It wasn't until years later after he earned a degree in Library Sciences and worked for a number of public libraries in California that he began cataloging for Sotheby's. George founded Houle Rare Books in 1976 and became a member of the ABAA in 1978.
