This book explores the notion of a "true Zoroastrian year," delving into ancient Persian writings to uncover the religious significance of timekeeping and celestial events. The author, drawing on the works of Pehlavi writers, examines the inconsistencies between the traditional Zoroastrian calendar and the solar year, arguing that the original religious calendar was fixed, with months aligned with the sun's passage through the zodiac. This fixed calendar, known as the Dini Saal, played a crucial role in religious observances, particularly the celebration of the spring equinox as the start of the new year. The book's insights challenge conventional understandings of Zoroastrian timekeeping, highlighting the importance of aligning religious practices with cosmic cycles and the significance of celestial events in shaping the Zoroastrian faith. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format.
