Hardback. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. 367 pages; 5 p. index; Official U.S. Navy photos; Lt. Col Bayler carries his narrative from Wake Island shortly before Pearl Harbor, through Midway Island and the contest for Guadalcanal. Añadir al carritoHardcover. Condición: Very Good. First Edition. 367 Pages. Stated First Edition. This fascinating first-person account of the early World War II days on the Solomon Islands comes in dark red boards with gold printing on the front cover and on the spine. The exterior of the book has worn areas on all four corners and at the top and bottom of the spine as well as some dark staining areas on both the front and rear covers and a slight indentation spot on the front cover. The interior book has the former owner's name on two of the front pages, various pages throughout with some foxing on them and the paper has browned a little bit from the original. but otherwise has no other visible distracting extraneous markings within the book and thus has all printing, illustrations, and photographs in a well-preserved and enjoyable condition. If you order this interesting view of a part of WWII in the Pacific from us, we will carefully wrap it up in either foam or bubble wrap, then securely pad and box it and ship it right away to you with both insurance and tracking on it.…
