Añadir al carritoHardcover. Condición: Very Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. Designed by Robert Edgar Long & illustrated and printed by the Adart Co., NY. Original color wrappers.7-3/4 x 10-3/4, 12 pp. Vintage American Theater brochure. An attractive very good copy which has a few closed and small tears on the front and rear covers. Overall, this program is a pleasing survivor from this 3-hour epic. Lillian Gish plays Anna, a country girl seduced and abandoned by a rich cad. The resulting baby dies and Anna is alone in the world. She meets the kindly Bartlett family and it seems that her life is taking a turn for the better when the son (Richard Barthelmess) falls for her that is until her past is exposed. Although it was Griffith's most expensive film to date, it was also one of his most commercially successful. Way Down East is the fourth-highest grossing silent film in cinema history, taking in more than $4.5 million at the box office in 1920.
