Deep purple cloth covered boards with ornate blind frames to each cover and gilt titles to the spines, grey endpapers, top page edges gilt. Condition fair, the spines and top and outer edge of each cover have faded, back cover faded unevenly, corbers and head and tail of spine heavily rubbed, cloth torn at head and tail of spine with 1cm loss at tail of spine on vol I, cloth torn at head of spine on vol II. inner hinges cracked, front cover and backstrip coming away together on vol I. The internal condition very good, a few spots to first and last few pages else contents clean.
