Scattered foxing to first five and last five pages. 14 plates depicting 20 black-and-white images, and one colored plate. very good This is a brief narrative of history of the 54th (Kootenay) battalion in World War I, written by "One of Them", later determined to be Major John Bailey Beswick. The battalion was in action as Vimy, Passchendaele, Canal du Nord, the Scarpe, and others. Includes more than 70 pages of honors and awards lists and nominal rolls.
