Wraps. Condición: Good. Unsure of publisher, place or date. Presumed Tokyo, 1941. Wraps, with a cloth strip spine. Unpaginated, presumably around 150 pp. All text in Japanese. Based on an article on the Waseda University Library, this was a textbook for young Japanese children, teaching the katakana. Color illustrations throughout, as well as several black and white photos of battleships. Given that the war in the Pacific had already begun for the Japanese, it appears the textbook was trying to normalize war, and rough translations on those pages indicate accounts of what it takes to be a sailor. Google translate indicate the title reads Takamiyo. GOOD condition. Heavy chipping, tearing and loss to the spine. Heavy toning. Dampstaining to the covers and extremities of the interior. Text block very browned. A few pages with dates in pencil on them.
