Ansonsten ist der Zustand sehr gut, sehr sauber, ohne Eintragungen, vollständig. Dies ist der seltene, zusammenfassende Reisebericht des Expeditions-Leiters und Herausgebers der Nova-Guinea Reihe A. Wichmann, einer der wenigen Bände in deutscher Sprache. Ausser den ersten beiden Bänden zur Entdeckungsgeschichte sind alle Bände der ersten Nova Guinea-Reihe (I - X) selten und gesucht, vor allem Bde. III, IV und VII.
