This copy a presentation from Sheldon to Colorado native Lincoln, prolific writer in the field of birds (Migration of Birds, e.g. ) and driving force in the formation of the North American bird banding program. Lincoln's bookplate on front pastedown. Copy of U.S. Dept. of Agriculture press release announcing Sheldon appointed as Chief U.S. Game Warden, June 24, 1926, laid in.
