With Best wishes, A.E. Kirkby Mar. 1960" The purple boards look very bright and fresh with crisp title lettering to the front board and spine. Inte…rnally the pages are lovely and clean throughout with just a touch toning to the end papers. Minor knocking to the corner tips which is hardly noticeable. The dust jacket is clean and not price clipped, although has some chipping, creasing and minor loss at the extremities with a repaired closed tear on the front cover at the top edge. (Repaired inside with acid free, "invisible" tape. Mary Horner (ilustrador). Signed by Author(s).

The dustjacket is not price-clipped, but has some marks/tears with a little loss/chips and closed tears (a couple with traces of old repairs) all of which are now neatly repaired to the reverse of the d/j with clear archive tape, and the d/j is now in a new protective clear - removable - bookfilm plastic cover and looks quite good. Very light 'toning' to the page fore-edges, and a few very light spots to the plain endpapers, o/w internally Fine with NO Inscriptions or Marks. 196 pp. With a foreword by K. C. Edwards, Professor of Geography University of Nottingham. Black and white frontispiece and illustrations, mainly by Mary Horner, but also a few photos on glossy paper.
