Collated complete.Originating from a request by his brother to write him a book, Fortescue wanted to create a story that celebrated one of our native animals, rather than a human, and so he wrote a tale following the life of the red-deer. Accompanied with beautiful illustrations, the reader also encounters other friends and foes of the red-deer, including pheasants and foxes. In the publisher's original green cloth.
