Añadir al carritoSecond impression. Hardcover. Some very slight foxing on the top and fore edges, o/w very good in like dustjacket with the spine background slightly darkened (not affecting lettering) and some discoloration/darkening to areas of the front panel. This book was rather a mystery for quite a few years, purportedly being the memoir o…f "a young woman who for ten months was a prostitute in the West End of London". However it is now assumed to be the first novel by 'Jonathan Gash', British doctor (real name, John Grant of East Anglia), and creator of the 'Lovejoy' crime fiction series. A year after the first impression, there was this second impression with a jacket which carried laudatory, still unsuspecting reviews by some well-known writers and critics such as J.B. Priestly and Penelope Gilliatt. The UK edition precedes the US version by a year.
