Smith, a series of articles on a variety of subjects that are of interest to many Africana Collectors has been brought together in this book. Each chapter is the work of an expert in a particular field of Africana and its collecting and the book includes chapters on early printed maps of Africa, commemorative medals, Cape Almanacs, South African paper money, Xhosa beadwork, Johannesburgiana and coins of the South African Republic. Over twenty pages of relevant illustrations have been selected to support the text and an index has been included to facilitate reference.
