Añadir al carritoHardcover. Condición: Very Good. No Jacket. A VG 12mo hardcover in no dust jacket. This is an apparent 'pirated' edition (circa mid-1950s to early 1960s) as no publisher, copyright, edition, printing, print date, or other publication information is stated. No Karl Shapiro introduction. This copy does contain a free-front end pap…er, the blank verso of that leaf, a title page (referencing only the author, title, and the preface by Anais Nin), a Ralph Waldo Emerson quotation page, a fly title page, the three-page preface, a blank page, the text (pp. 11-305), and then three blank pages, the last of which is the rear end paper. Penned owner name and penciled erasures on the free front end paper; penned initials of the same owner on the title page. The contents are a bit age tanned, but fully legible, complete, and securely bound. Striped blue and white head and tail bands. Red cloth with green lettering in a layout analogous to the 1950s Keimeisha editions, but there is no embossed design on the lower board. Rubbing along the lower fourth of the front spine edge and in the spine's head and tail edges. Since the end papers are not quite as tanned as the rest of the contents, the possibility also exists that this copy has been rebound and/or is a turtleback. An intriguing copy of a landmark title in U.S. legal history.
