Hardcover. Condición: Fair. No Jacket. One of a lovely set of books issued by Sears for young readers, each illustrated by a famous artist of the day, here, Charles W. Kelsey ((1877-1975), best known for his work in stained glass. A FIRST EDTION from 1927, this hardcover has black cloth-covered boards with a colorful front paper… pastedown, which shows just the slightest edgewear. In 239 pages (with additional ads for other books in series in rear), decorated with illustrated endpapers & orange illustrations framing each page & a brilliant color frontispiece. Book is very clean, pages creamy white & unmarked save for old gift inscription in pen on second front endpaper. Condition downgraded to only Fair due to cracked hinges & splitting of the cloth along spine, which was reglued in 2 places, missing 1/2" cloth at head of spine. But the illustrations are lovely! Our photos depict the exact book you will receive, never "stock" images of books we don't actually have! Same day shipping if ordered by 2 pm weekdays (Pacific time); later orders, weekends & holidays ship very next day. Kelsey , C. W. (ilustrador).
