Decorative marbled boards with matching marbled endpapers and curved page edges on all sides. Some fading and light rubbing wear to the sturdy boards but in remarkable shape. Endpapers and page edges are bright and colorful. Lightly signed and dated by the original owner in 1859. Text is printed in double columns with B&W portrait illustrations sprinkled throughout. Pages are very lightly tanned, clean and unmarked. Binding is strong and tight. What an elegant book!
